The Arlington International Airgun Club (AIAC) Junior Division, the “AIAC Juniors”, will begin its new season of Junior Olympic Air Rifle and Air Pistol Marksmanship Training at Christian Liberty Academy with an Orientation Night on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 7:00 PM for all boys and girls in grades 7-12.

Marksmanship training teaches students proper gun safety and helps develop concentration, coordination, discipline, and self-control –

it’s also a lot of fun!

The AIAC Juniors program focuses on teaching safe gun handling and encourages competitive development in a controlled environment with trained instructors.  Club members will have the opportunity to participate in club, state, regional, and national-level competitions.

In just over 6 years of operation the AIAC Juniors have won numerous state and regional junior air gun tournaments and have become one of the top-ranked junior air rifle and air pistol teams in the nation.

Last season, AIAC Juniors club members won the 2008 Illinois Progressive Position Air Pistol (PPP) Team and Individual State Championships, the 2008 Illinois Junior Olympic 3P Air Rifle Individual State Championship, the 2008 U.S. Army Air Rifle Postal Individual State Championship, and just recently both male and female categories at the 2008 Illinois Junior Olympic International Air Rifle Individual State Championship.   AIAC team members have represented Illinois at the Junior Olympics, the National NRA Junior Air Gun Team Championship, the National PPP Championship, the National Junior Olympic 3P Air Rifle Championship, and have trained with Olympic coaches at the Olympic Training Center (OTC) in Colorado Springs, CO.
